About Us
UPE at FIU is a dedicated Technology based organization that focuses on fostering tech in our community. We host workshops ranging from Software Development which includes web/game/mobile/ai, Information Technology which goes over linux/cloud, UI/UX Engineering which goes over the basics of UI/UX and product management, and Mentorship where we pair you with mentors and help you get internships/jobs! We are affiliated with FIU's Knight Foundation School of Computing & Information Sciences (KFSCIS), FIU's College of Engineering & Computing (CEC), and a recognized student organization under the Registered Student Organizations Council (RSO) at FIU. We host the largest hackathon in Florida: ShellHacks that is targeted towards beginners through advance. As well as collaborating with our local community to teach Computer Science to K-12 students through our Ignite program.
